At Home

'Sign to Me' was designed to be an independent learning tool that can  be used by everybody both in school and at home.  It can be used by people with hearing difficulties, as well as their friends and families.  'Sign to Me' can be used by people learning BSL as a vocabulary resource or by BSL users to strengthen and widen their use of English.

Younger users and weak readers will find the 'Picture Dictionary' section a useful and easy to use resource.  It is ordered into categories and does not rely on any reading skills at all.

'Find a Sign' can be used as a quick reference to look up a sign.  This is of particular use at home where communication is of vital importance - having an easy to use tool such as this will allow BSL users and their families to more effectively communicate to each other using a broader range of BSL and English vocabulary.  This software package was designed so that it can be used by children without adult assistance and will be a fun and engaging way to develop their skills.

For more ideas of how to use 'Sign to Me', or to share your ideas and experiences with others please visit our online resource area.
